Sea of Thieves is meant to capture the spirit of adventure children have when they play. There is no convoluted tutorial that spans many hours, being that the theme of the game is pirates it is assumed most people have a general idea of what it is pirates do so you can hop into the game, raise the anchor, lower the sails, and set off looking for booty to plunder. Whether the quest involves fighting, treasure hunting, exploration, or just drunken hedonism, the goal is to hang out with people and have a good time. This looks like a great way for you and some friends to get together and live out the fantasy of going on a pirate adventure without getting seasick or losing a hand to a crocodile.
After the absolutely electric response from the crowd last year during Sony’s Last of Us 2 trailer reveal at PlayStation Experience 2016, many people considered the upcoming sequel to be a lock for this year’s conference. Those expectations were dashed, however, when Sony closed its presentation on a new Spider-Man gameplay demonstration that, while exciting, wasn’t exactly what many were expecting from one of the most influential companies in gaming during the industry’s flashiest w
Is this a game of substance or a game of potential — clambering to the hope that players will “just make their own fun?” Yes, there’s a little silliness and due reactionary disbelief as you watch your ship sink beneath the ocean as a swell of string arrangement signal open water once more being the most terrifying concept in existence (especially at night), but these are unintended accidents outside the supposed “bulk” of the game’s content. When you seemingly have more engagement in the surprisingly-detailed ocean physics — rather than the focal content on show — well then that’s a problem. And in Microsoft’s/Xbox’s case, a big problem.
What more is there to say about Sea of Thieves except that it’s a multiplayer pirate simulator. Board ships with your friends, try to take down enemy ships, or just sit on the deck and get drunk – it’s all possible with Sea of Thieves Tips|Https://seaofthievesfans.com/ of Thieves . We will admit that there needs to be more to do in the game beyond the basic ship sailing and canon battles for it to have a long lifespan, but for an E3 demo the game was some of the most fun we had in multipla
Of course, not everything at E3 2017 was a success. While the presentations themselves contained the same kind of awkward blunders viewers have become accustomed to over the years – with one in particular, when a presenter literally forgot how to pronounce their own name, being a particularly egregious offense – there were a number of disappointments in terms of the content each company failed to produce over the course of the week-long journey. Here’s our list of the biggest disappointments at this year’s
On that note of creating a unique and personal experience, there will be plenty of customization options both as for the pirate character and the ship. These customization items will be both cosmetic and functional to help ensure that the pirate I design with the attributes and look I want will not be the same pirate you create. The cartoonish art style hints that this will be a more lighthearted and fun version of pirates as opposed to a more historically accurate bloodthirsty crew infected with scurvy.
This isn’t commentary on the fact that Skull & Bones has all the potential in the world to muscle in on Sea of Thieves ‘ territory, either. We went hands on with Rare’s upcoming multiplayer pirate experience and came away wanting more, both in terms of gameplay (because it was good) and features (because it seemed largely the same). Sea of Thieves is still a good game, and there’s some enjoyment to be had within its colorful pirate world, but it feels like it hasn’t evolved since the last time we saw it, and that’s cause for some disappointm
That’s our list of the biggest disappointments that emerged out of this year’s E3. Did we miss anything major? Anything you need to get off your chest about this year’s showcase? Let us know in the comments be
Microsoft officially reveals the long-awaited console, named Xbox One X, which is slated to release worldwide November 7th, 2017. This might seem nitpicky given Nintendo’s excellent and concise presentation during E3 2017, but the set-up for this one had already been done and all the company needed to do was announce it. The Switch is already gaining a reputation as the home for Wii U games that were ignored because of that console’s technical failures, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has already proven that those remakes can be extremely lucrative for Nintendo as well. Nintendo could have probably flashed the Metroid Prime 4 announcement on screen, followed with the announcement of a Super Smash Bros. Deluxe for the Switch, and called it a successful E3 2
