On the bright side, Renée has established herself as a competent member of the shared universe cast already, and the same can be said for her new Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) , who manages to grab a few genuine, charming laughs in his brief time on screen. Sure, the costume and flying effects may seem a little too close to Smallville ‘s style than superhero movie fans will like, but… you work with what you’re given (a flying man in a bird mask is a hard sell no matter wh
I looked back at the screen. 1-1. What is this?! How did they score? Why? What on Earth is going on?! Half-time came, and I was invited to rearrange my team. I didn’t know what to do — as already mentioned, the game’s stats are incredibly confusing, and I was still reeling from having conceded a goal. I changed the team’s play style to ‘aggressive’, and started the second h
Now, as you see, our patch schedule is insane; I think we patched 57 times last year which is nuts. But there’s so much content; we’re always tweaking things. Everything is open for improvement. It doesn’t really matter what’s in-game or what’s new in the game; we’re always looking at it on how we can make this game bet
The aforementioned Justice League two-parter is pretty much set in stone, even if its tone may change to suit what audiences seem to be after. The groundwork has been laid, including cameos; we’ve seen every one of the current six founding members on-screen. Bruce Wayne now knows (thanks to a nightmare vision of the future and a visit from the Flash) that he has to gather a group of super-powered types for a vague upcoming threat. Plus, the movie was subtitled Dawn of Justice , and featured the DC trinity standing together for the first time in live-act
You see, Championship Manager 1970s Legends is not a perfect game. As a game designed for a portable device, it’s almost entirely terrible. With far too many menus and stats to keep track of, it requires thought, patience, and can’t be played in anything like the same manner as Angry Birds . But it is addictive. Even if, like me, you have no knowledge of 1970’s soccer players, you begin to form an attachment nonetheless. I soon realized that my top striker was a guy named Peter Lorimer, and so I began to put him in every game I played, and he always came out on top. Having now researched him on the internet, it’s clear that he was was a pretty darned good soccer player. That’s another good thing about Legends , it doesn’t require knowledge to play it, but it does encourage further research. To be quite honest however, I don’t care about the real Peter Lorimer. All I know is, he’s the best player on my team, and he’s going to win me the Championship, 70s st
Mario is not only a staple in video game history; he is THE pinnacle of the industry. His games have defined what it means to be a video game. But guess what? I can make a video MOBA game Guide too! Super Mario Maker is a phenomenal concept that allows fans to bring to life their very own versions of the plumber’s classic adventures. I’ve had tons of fun just imagining my own Mario levels and feeling like a real developer at Nintendo. If only they could see my creations…sigh. Whatever, Super Mario Maker is in fact a fantastic game despite all the extremely hard user-created levels that I’ve skipped over.
It’s possible that these issues will be remedied in the crossover’s second half, but only time will tell. For now, it’s enough to say that the stars and characters sharing the same set will undoubtedly get fans demanding nothing more than that excited. But in hindsight, any one of these subplots – Hawkman’s return, Vandal Savage’s arrival, Kendra coming to grips with her past and taking a leap of faith, or receiving more than a single sentence of guidance from Barry – could have carried enough drama for its own episode. If the crossover ends with the heroes taking flight together, fans would have the right to feel they were robbed of the journey to take
It’s hard not to get teary-eyed watching Tyrael descend from the sky voluntarily even out of context, but when the trailer arrives just at the right point in the game’s story, there’s no denying its impact. Although Diablo 3 is incredibly replayable, the game’s story does matter and it’s hard not to become attached to its characters in between long sessions of looting. We dare players to make it through the game without getting invested in this st
Other networks aside, the Legends of Tomorrow route seems more likely if we’re ever going to see the Justice League on the small screen. Some major players will get their own shows, while others will appear as important supporting characters. Picture a Superman series that has him mentored by Martian Manhunter or frequently teaming up with Green Lantern, or possibly a Wonder Woman show with her travelling to Gotham for one season and helping a mopey billionaire to lighten up a little. Not everyone needs their own show, and some might even need as little as a featured episode. Given that we’ve already got duplicate characters in the TV and movie worlds (the Flash, for example), this shouldn’t be too much of a prob
